It is very interesting to read about the temps vs colour. I know that roses are lighter in warmer weather.
It's not really a reliable source to compare a photo online to a patchara delight in it's physical form. I used to do a fair amount of photography and know that colour can vary even from.different monitors (your own computer settings) and also the camera, lens, filter and white balance will all have a different effect on the colour. A lot of cameras actually have a "flower macro" mode specifically to try get the true colour. Another major factor is the white balance on the camera settings.
I actually currently have a small patchara delight in spike (it's first flowering) and I might experiment on my camera the best way to get a true colour.
