Gage, I know you live in the same area that I do so it's funny that you should post those pictures. They could be pictures of my Pachara Delight that just opened last week with exactly the same problems. It looks just like yours with about the same number of blasted buds and poorly developed flowers. I have no idea what happened to mine or yours. I have 15 vandacous orchids and I've never had this happen before. I know there's a lot of thrips around and also we've had a ridiculous amout of rain. I'm assuming it's realated to one of those issues. Oddly though, two of my other vandas bloomed at the same time without those problems. I just don't know.

That's crazy, Tucker. Sorry to hear that. I'm thinking that the constant rain is the catalyst, but the bugs are doing the dirty work. I'm gonna keep my spike treated with insecticide, and if it rains I'll treat it again as soon as the rain stops. I don't know what else to think...
