Very nice Joe!,
The yellow vanda is particularly striking! Wish I had as much luck with vandas as you

vanda under lights setup
For all who asked, I grow my orchids in my basement in an 8' x 10' room. It is lite with a 1000W MH hid light centered on the 8' width and 4' from the wall on the length. On the floor you see taller vandas and cymbidiums. The light is on 14 hrs. in the summer to 11.5 hrs in the winter. Two fans run 24/7 and the hudmidity is 50%+ from evaporation from watering. Hope this info is of interest.

Great setup, Do you need to run a air conditioner during the summer when the light is on?

Dave, No heating or cooling required. Summer temps range 70-79 degrees F. and winter range 62-74 degrees F. The light keeps the heat up in winter and in summer I leave the door to the room open to keep the temp from going to high.

Great setup. I am surprised, though, that the ones under the bench get enough light. I admire your setup.
