Default Keikis wanting to go out! Need help!

Please help! How do you hang mother plants without a basket? I know i need to remove the basket for the keikis to grow but how can I hang the mother plant without a basket? The plant is approximately 7 ft. plus the roots.

Here is the photo of the flower.

Wow, nice growing. I'm no expert, but how about if you try tying strings around the stem of the plant at different locations.

Beautiful plant I think the keikies will get out ,anyway thier roots will .
Another thing you could do is get a bigger basket and sit the one it is in inside of the new one then cut the plastic basket into pieces . Hanging would be good but
considering the size of the plant damage might happen using only one hanging point .
Most use an S shaped wire to hang them .. gin

I just use a 4-way plant hanger (like the one your basket is hanging from), and bend the ends around 2 or 4 strategic points on the roots, whatever you have to do to balance it out. Apply a few ties, if necessary. Don't pinch the roots, just cradle them. Your plant is pretty big, so you might want to use 4 pick points. If that doesn't work, aluminum fence wire is pretty handy in mounting and hanging projects, and it is easy to bend. As far as your old basket, I would carefully cut it into peices and leave it. Eventually, the plant will shed it little by little. Trying to remove will damage roots for sure, because they don't always like to let go.
