Default New spikes on Vanda

Just back from vacation, and what a surprise. There where 2 spikes in my Vanda NOID. Even 2 at once. Could not be better. My first own spikes. Still very small, but at least they are there.

Congratulations Willeke!
Do you know what is the bloom color? How long is it from spike start to flowers? Do you grow this one in the vase too? What kind of light does it receive?

I did enclose a photo of who it was when I did buy it. To be ownest I don't know how long it will take from spike to flower. These are my own spikes. I grow it in vase as well. I grow all my Vanda's in vase. It is in a south window. When the sun is shining I put it outside. There it stands in full sun in the morning and in the afternoon. In the hottest hours I put it in the shade.
