Thanks all for your nice comments!

Bob, It's a piece of Cork Bark on which I put some sphag & then laid the plants and roots on it. Then cut up the leg of a panty hose and slipped the whole mount into it..

Sure looks a lot like Sedirea Japonica and just as pretty. Maybe they are cousins.

The colors are different but I think that the size and shape and the small clusters resemble Sediera japonica.

Gorgeous Nenella. I love these Gastros.

However it does looks so like my japonica. I can't see how the colours are different.

Makes me wonder if mine is mis-labled, but it also looks like a lot of pics I've seen of japonica

Gorgeous blooms! I was internetless in july so this is the first time I see your post. I believe that japonica and somai are synonyms, which explains why they look so similar!

Just had a look on OW, and they list the 2 species as being the same, with japonica being the currently accepted RHS name.

I seem to remember on the Gastro japonica project we had a discussion where some thought them synonyms and some thought the RHS had separated them again. Of course if that's the case each could be being sold under the other name because people think they are the same... Oh well! Pretty anyway this is one of my favourites (and my japonica is spiking )
