Default Is this a spike or a keiki.

A few days ago I saw a new growht on my Asco.
I have no idea what it can be. It's certainly not a root.
It looks completely different from the roots. Also it's growing upwards. Ofcourse I hope it's a spike, but it's growing all the way at the bottom of the plant.
Has any one any idea what it can be?
Thanks so far. The photo is not really sharp, because I took it with my phone camera.

I think it's a little early to tell for sure. Give a few more days. Good luck.

I'm sorry to say this but I think it is a root. It has the green tip of a root and the silver velamen is justs tarting to show behind the green. In my experience spikes start from well inside a leaf axil.

Thanks all, but it is neither a spike nor a root. It is a keiki. Now it is much bigger, and it is really clear it is a keiki. Never mind I just noticed 2 spikes in one of my other Vanda's.
