That is a fantastic bloom. How large a plant is it?

The plant is now about 8" tall. It is a slow grower and for a seedling, it may take more than 6 years to become a blooming size plant.

Cool! I only have Aer. lawrenceana, but I love these "daughters of the wind". Very nice, Pheli!

Beautiful orchid and nice pictures. Back lighting is really effective. Good job!

The 8" size sounds great but I'm not so sure I want to wait 6 years for blooms. I think before I buy one I will ask, how long before I can expect blooms. Sometimes I wish I were 25 again, then waiting 6 years isn't so long.

Thanks Don. Back light is always good for taking photos. But it seems not work well on green or white flowers.

If possible, pick the plant that has ever bloomed. Some seedlings of vanda or its relatives are notorous for their flowering abilities.
