Default Schoenorchis seidenfadenii

I purchased this plant as Schoenorchis fragrans, but was told that it was not that species, but seidenfadenii and after doing some research, agree. The lip and striping on the petals seem to be characteristic of that species. I've found any species in this genus to be poorly identified. I have four of them in my collection all from different sources and none of them was correctly id'd.

That's a great shot of the blooms. How many did you get on the plant. Looks like all your blooms on the spike might be bigger than the plant itself.
Maybe you should just identify one of the species as Schoenorchis Hankoii

This plant has about a dozen flowers on one spike and another plant has two spikes with about twice as many flowers, but that one is not yet in bloom. This is one of my favorites because it blooms so profsuely on such a small plant. As to identifying it as hankoii, at least the name would be shorter - the present name is bigger than the plant.

Well the Schoenorchis name alone is big enough. Would love to see the other when it opens up.

Very petty though.

I have a s.fragrans (supposedly) that is about to open. I'm going to use a microscope to take pics I think.

Really nice. Love the colour of those cute little flowers and the texture of the leaves.

Thanks fishmommy and Rosie. It's a bit like a tiny Vanda or Phalenopsis.
