Renanthera sources? Male
Default Renanthera sources?

Hi, I was wondering if anyone knew of a good source for Renantheras in Canada? I noticed that CR Orchids have a few, but I was wondering if anyone knew a place that had a wider selection. Also, if any OB member from Canada has some, maybe we could make a trade of sorts in the near future? I have just got bit by the Renantha-bug, and I need some enablers!

Have you try Paramount Orchids?? They have a few seedling. JS Orchids also have some and regularly import them from Thailand. Contact him for his next import and he can get special order for peoples, if the supplier has it. Shangri La Orchids also have some renanthera, but tend to sold out quickly so u have to watch out for updates from them.

In term of selection there are only a handful of them usually grown outside of tropic. Most popular and wildly avaliable being Ren. monachica, bella, mututina, and citrina. Ren. coccinea, phillipenensis and stonerii are giant ones and venders don't tend to stock them unless u request it.
Ren. imschootiana is under CITES APP 1 and very hard to find and can't be imported (I'm still looking for it) =)
