If the plant is healthy and putting out leaves, I wouldn't worry too much about it. You should be seeing new roots come out from late spring to late summer, when the weather is warm and the plant is in full-on growth.

Of course, as Zoi2 just said, it really depends on the growing conditions, and the shape the growing medium is in.

OK i will wait and see. its got fresh growing medium (bark) and its got good light my other angs and ascocentrum bloom and grow in it. same with humidity in the high 40's(48-49%) and mid 50's (50-55%) temps from 66 at night to up to 73 during the day. would keeping it a more moist? i water it once a week. it dries out quickly sometimes before the week is up.

Sounds like you're growing it well. Roots should come as Angurek says in the spring/summer.
