I thought you might like to see the flowers on my Rhynchostylis coelestis which is currently in bloom






Here's an attempt at a less conventional lighting setup after a recent thread asking why we always use such "boring" lighting for photographing orchids!

Thanks

One interesting thing I've noticed is the blue/lilac/purple colour gets more and more intense as the bloom gets older, which is quite cool, so you end up with a gradual colour gradient down the spike.

I find the scent on this guy to be quite "waxy" - not citrus-y like I've read in some places.
