It finally bloomed! Vanda Cindy Banks Bills Choice
I bought this vanda about 2 years ago. I always joked that if anyone found me in the greenhouse dead to check out the Vanda Cindy Banks 'Bill's Choice' as it did absolutely nothing for that time span. Last month when the spike started, I felt that I should hold my breath and I was terrified to tell my partner in crime (orchids) about it, for fear that it would hear me and promptly dry up!
Maybe next time it will give me more than 2 beautiful flowers...

They look really cool, and even though its only two, well worth the wait! Perhaps next time the blooming will be stronger. Do you think perhaps its simply a young plant?

It is a fairly young plant, but there was an old bloom spike on it when I bought it, so I was hopeful that I would have flowers the first year. Didn't seem to matter what I did, it just kept sitting there doing nothing.
If there is anything that I've learned from growing orchids it is PATIENCE!
