Ours send out a spike that was about a foot and a half long off of a plant that was less than 12" across. I've read that these stay on the smaller side - an attractive quality for many!!

Wow, love that colour. Renanthera's are becoming a fav.
Also I notice that a lot of plant hybrids use the name Tom Thumb. Where does that name come from?
