Hey Naoki, maybe its a good thing we don't live closer to each other, the competition could drive us both silly. Then again, we grow orchids don't we !!!

What I wouldn't give for a collection like that! I'm going to the Victoria orchid show tomorrow, so maybe I'll make a start!

Roy, wait for a few more week. I have a jaw-dropping one in spike. Imagine the flowers coming from the spike as thick as an adult pinky size.

What an awesome collection in an amazing greenhouse. Can't wait to see pictures of the collection in bloom.

I'm back from the Victoria show, and of coarse I have added. I have Ascda Suksamran gold spot in spike,
does anyone have any experience with that one? This Vendor had no photos or decriptions, so I got him to decribe a golden to orange with burgandy spots? Sound right? He also had a Vanda Arjuna Wink, which was I guess what you would call a rescue plant at $10. Loads of roots and not much plant, I was going to put it in Vase culture, but what do you do with those roots? I understand that it should be fragrant, though.
I won't get into how patient my poor husband was when I ended up in line for the second time, when 2 orchids became 4. Happy 40th aniversary to me!

Thanks for the comments folks, the plants are still getting used to the conditions and are responding well. As everyone has express, "Want to see the flowers" SO do I. Getting very sick of only seeing green leaves.

Well done vanda Lover, you didn't let the team down.

They should soon start. Most of your plants look mature enough, and some do bloom at this time of year.

Where's this jaw dropping Vanda Naoki, still waiting...

BTW, my Vanda collecting friend just went to a sale of Vanda, Ascda etc. During the 3/4 hr phone call, I'm now the owner of 28 more plants ( all $5.00 ea )
They are not huge plants but nearly all mericlones of top stuff that is almost impossible to buy now..
These don't include the 2 or 3 he got for me without telling me.
