Default V. bensonii x V. pumila

I got it in October last year. This one never stop blooming. It puts out a spike one after another. This is the 4th one already. I releases a raspberry-like scent in the morning.

Really? I bet the grower I got it from imported the plant from Thailand.

Oh yes, quite possible that this plant comes from Thailand.
I have to confess that I focus my attention on species mainly, not for any kind of snobbery or something like that but because even if I have the chance to grow the plants in my garden, I have to make some choices as the plants choice is so HUDGE nowadays here.

Anyway, I really find this cross very interesting !

I see. I found the species a bit challenging for me.
For example, the V. luzonica, one of very few species I have is just not doing anything despite of putting lots of 'leggy' roots out.

Humm I think that your V. luzonica will bloom soon or late because you are able to make bloom hybrids and the needs of species and hybrids are very close
. Sometimes it can take years for some plants to get used of a new environment that's maybe why. Be patient as always with orchids.
You should try easy specie such as V.tessellata or V. limbata too. Mine, especially the first one are never stop blooming.

It'd better hurry up now. My luzonica is 3 feet long. I thinks there are a few OB members waiting for me to put it up for sale.

I also have V. tessellata and V. lamellata. Both of them bloomed last year as I get them, but nothing so far. Oh, well. as long as other plants are entertaining me, I will not keep looking at them.
