Nice one Carol! I love all the Rhynchostylis species but some of the varieties of this one are my favorites. Definitely high up on my 'someday' list... Thanks for sharing (and describing the scent, I wish I could smell it myself)!

I'll second what Swamper said about the leaf tips, I think this is a feature of the species (at least all the ones I've seen have it to some degree). Wise to chase off that grasshopper, though, around here the nasty little dudes like to chew off spikes and buds!!!
