Default Vanda roeblingiana

Purchased out-of-bloom from Andy's Orchids, at March 2010's Pacific Orchid Expo.

Enjoy!

Default Link to Vanda coerulea thread

Not to double post/cross post.

People may also be interested in the thread in Pests And Diseases where I have posted a 2 year follow-up on my Vanda coerulea.

Enjoy!

Both are very nice.

In my opinion, Vanda roeblingiana has one of the most interesting lip of the genera and Vanda coerulea is a must.
Your roeblingiana is very interesting with a lot of yellow color in it !

Noaki, V. coerulea is not fragant and roeblingiana is.

Beautiful blooms. And since both species enjoy moderately cool temperatures, they should do well for you in the bay area. Did the V. coerulea also come from Andy's?

Yes, it did - actually, if you read through that thread, you'll see that I had a recent epiphany, with help from Andy personally, about my local climate's suitability for Vandas.

I have gotten a lot of things from Andy's. I like species, which they seem to specialize in, and I like their "Orchids On A Stick" presentation!
