I'm rather partial to the spotting...adds interest during the rest of the season. Since the light levels have naturally increased, so has the degree of spotting.

Compared with other vandaceous orchids, ascocentrums are relatively tiny in size.
We also have a native ascocentrum species, Ascocentrum pumilum, in Taiwan.
But, they are cool or cold growers and don't do well in lowlands here.
