Default Rhyn. Retusa 2 different ones

Got 2 plants in one pot about 5 years ago at the S.B. orchid show, one grew tall and produced two side plants and the 2nd smaller plant bloomed last year for the first time. This year both plants are in bloom with 2 spikes now and another on the way.

First pic. is of the larger plant first spiking.
Second pic. is the smaller one that bloomed first last year.

Spike is almost 2 feet long with over 80 flowers.
Greenhouse, C,I,W moist and feed all year, very bright light

That's fantastic! Very nice specimen. I love the long pendant spikes and the bushy look of both plants growing together.

My Gigantea Red popped out her first keiki a few months ago and a second one just a few weeks ago. I was alarmed at how quickly they develop. With any luck my Rhyco will be bushy like yours in a few years.

Great growing!

The flowers have no smell at all even at night I have not noticed even a slight flora scent.

I know they are supposed to be fragrant but why not these two?

Very nice looking plants! I love the hanging spikes. Mine Rhyco. didn't do that like I though it would, but it was the first bloom, so maybe in future years when it has more flowers?

That is sad about the fragrance. I am a sucker for a fragrant orchid, so I can understand your disappointment.
