great flower, love the spots! my vandas have been blasting at the top of the spike too, i chalk it up to the unnatural heat and being too near the roof of the greenhouse....seems to affect the higher ones....

That is really pretty. I really like the spots and the colors. I wish I could smell it, even if it is a bit weak. I love Mimi Palmer's scent.
I agree that it is probably a vanda too, since I am quite sure the parents are all vandas. At least the ones I have seen have those names as vandas. Mislabeling, unfortunately, seems quite common, and is quite a frustration!

Thanks for bringing this thread back to life. If you were only here in the Philippines esp in Manila i'll let you know some store here that sell their chids at a bargain price when out of bloom or finished bloom. The vanda I posted is about 1.3ft long with one keiki.

Those are beautiful blooms. Interesting that the scent, although nice, is very slight. Considering its ancestors, I would have guessed this cross to be quite fragrant. Is it a big plant (like V. merrillii) or compact (like V. insignis)? Congratulations. The flowers are quite striking.

Oops! Sorry, I didn't read down far enough into the thread. I see that my question regarding the plant's size was already answered.
