Default Gastrochilus japonicus - TC to my project plant

Gastrochilus japonicus was the runner up in the project vote and I decided to get one as the TC for the project plant.

I'm really pleased with this little guy. It's mounted and there are masses of good thick roots starting to cling to the bark.

It also has a spike

That's awesome! I was totally prepared to buy this little one as a TC to the project plant, but my chose vendor did not have it. Oh well, I'll get it another time

That is a really nice looking plant, and the spike is quite an added bonus. Of course I'd love to see pictures when it blooms

It has some stringy roots on the surface which look to me like they were the ones there before it was mounted. But under those you can see some nice thick fleshy ones which are gripping the bark and have growing tips
