Very pretty. The structure of the petals reminds me a lot of my noid vanda. You know...the one that was reluctant to bloom for what seemed like forever. Well now she's a vigorous grower, prolific bloomer, and is sporting a full grown keiki which is trying to spike and another brand new keiki. My current avatar is a photo of her blooms. Many OB members have suggested a JVB or TMA influence. May she bring you years of joy.
Swamper, I'll take a look at more photos of plants I've grown (well and killed) to confirm, but your plant seems to be a close match to my V. Josephine van Brero x Ascda. Fortune East.
To my knowledge this is still an unregistered grex that was widely available in Hawaii a few years back.
I wonder...could it be a hybrid of MLV (Mevr. L Velthuis)? There's something about the flowers that leads me to believe this, despite the fact that the plant isn't terete.
Either way, it's a nice one, swamper. You grow some nice vandas.
Thanks a lot everyone, I know you guys grow some mean vandas.
I'm a little dissapointed because my source says it's not one of his so he won't be able to tell me what it's name is.
On the other hand I'm very happy I brought it back to this healthy state and was rewarded with a beautiful spike with lots of sweet colored blooms.
we may be able to narrow the field with measurements, and close up of the flower from various angles. also a close of the plant/fan/stem itself (especially the leaves).

Thanks for your help, I really appreciate it. I am in Naples right now for a little R & R. Hopefully it is either still in bloom which I think it should be or some of the other pics I took will help. Thanks so much again.
