These were e-bayed and spiking, but the TLC needed was excessive. I have more of my own on the way. I'll keep you posted.

Thanks all. The first one is V. Karen Ono. The other is Vas. Pine River Blue. I got them on e-bay. They were among the few that worked out. They were in pots at the grower and the shock of shipping cost me dearly.
The Vas.PRB does have a second spike.

May I ask, are the black spots dangerous for the plant? Or is it normal? Mine has some spots on the lower leaves and I am concerned about the other orchids...

I dream about a Vanda like the first one...

Black spots can occur when water is allowed to stay on the leaves over night .. sometimes it is from radical temperature changes.
There are other reasons ..
How about some more input from the more knowledgable growers!
