Roy,
You are right, I forgot to post an update on this. On February 20th, the actual plant was identified by Eric A. Christenson to be Vanda testacea, a species from Burma in practically the same distribution as Vanda parviflora.

The actual plant is approximately 2ft. in height. The blooms are about the size of a US quarter. There is also a sweet smell from the blooms. The plant is currently in bloom, but am probably not going to photograph it since the blooms are past their prime. It has bloomed perhaps 7 spikes since last summer.

Here's a picture demonstrating the plant and it's relative size:

Pat, its a lovely flower. I haven't seen it here at all, nor parviflora for sale. I think it would have some marvelous breeding potential.

Roy,
Thanks! Yes, I also believe it has some great breeding potential to it. I have crossed it with Asco. christensonianum, and the pods are STILL ripening after a year and some months! This is the longest I've ever seen a pod ripen, but hopefully it will be worth the wait?

It's a cutie for sure. Nice coloring and I like the small size. I have a few Ascda. that are that small but not a vanda. It would be great to have one that bloomed so much. Where did you get it? I haven't found a source.
