Oooo!!! Way to go! I loved how you got the buds, then also the blooms! How long did it take you to get it from the little spike in the first pic?

Thank you guys!
It only took about a month from that spike to the blooms. I received the plant in the beginning of March and had the flowers for easter And that's in the North of England, I should imagine it would develop much faster in a warmer, sunnier climate.
I'm now wondering if the current blooms will last until the second spike opens

Elena, that is great news! I just got my first vanda a few weeks ago, and the spike was about the same size. Right now, it's buds are growing and "plumping up."
Did you use any special fertilizer or lighting to help them bloom?

I fertilize it once a week with full strength Orchid Focus and at the moment it lives on a big SW facing bay window and gets plenty of sun but that's it. I'll probably stick it under lights during colder months but it seems happy enough right now.
It's exciting watching those spikes grow and get fatter by the day Good luck with yours and make sure you post some pictures!

Nice job! Ascda. Princess Mikasa is always a pleaser with flowers occurring on relatively small plants.
An established plant can bear several inflorescences with 12+ flowers; PM also keikis readily.
On its current blooming, my Princess Mikasa 'Kinda Blue' HCC/AOS is carrying 3 inflorescences on the main fan, and two on one of the more mature keikis. (I've had the plant for 14 years) Expecting quite a show!
When you photo your 'Blue', try shooting in daylight - morning's best before there's any harsh shadows.
Happy Growing!
