This plant eventually did develop a nice scent. Sweet lemons.

Tin, I see this post was first dated 2006???? How often has it bloomed for you, and is it in bloom now? The reason I ask is that I have one and it was blooming when I got it last fall and bloomed quite a bit for a while. It's not in bloom now, but pushing up a new leaf. Just wondering what their cycle usually runs. I just love this particular orchid.

Hey, these plants never stopped. Eventually after three years they died out. I think I lost them to bacterial rot. But, as I recall, they bloomed very frequently and rested for short periods.

Oh no, thanks for that info, but I am worried about rot also. I have mine in a pot with bark. I water once every three to four days with distilled water.
I hope I'm not overdoing it.

As you can see from the pictures, I had mine mounted. Although it was in a vivarium where humidity was high. But then, all the other orchids in that tank are ok.

Mine was potted in bark until a couple months ago maybe - watered it fully about once a week in winter but spritzed it pretty much every day. But I also don't have the heat on constantly - so maybe less dry for me

Mine all died. I got them all from Andy's Orchids.
