I know that you will be very happy with your plant because it is a very good bloomer. You can expect it to bloom three or four times per year. It kinda slows down in the cooler months but if your can provide warm temps in winter it will just continue flowering non stop

Yes, had read it can bloom 3 xs a year, so had been disappointed it hadn't bloomed all summer, but well - winter now, and has the one spike in bloom and another small spike, so I am very happy with it! I'm gonna need some more of these

Great form and color!
Do you grow it out doors in California?

Thank you! - tho I had nothing to do with form and color lol
It was outside from late spring - mid october I think. I'm not sure how low this plant can take temperature - wise, but I think nights at this time of year are probably too low for it.
The spike started a couple weeks after bringing it inside. I have it in my one south facing window and it seems very happy there.

White Rabbit, the plant is a warm grower meaning it is happiest with a minimum of sixty at night but no harm will come to it with an occasional forty five or even forty for short periods. It will just slow down a little.

Thanks - yeah I figured it probably didn't want to be too chilly - that's why it came in pretty early. Even during summer, night time lows can be in upper 50s here. And right now my thermostat is set for about 55 at night, and only low 60s the rest of the time, and it's growing a new spike, so I guess those temps aren't upsetting it.
Good to know that short periods under 50 won't hurt it tho. It probably got some temps below 50 for a bit before I brought it inside.
