This Ascda is very interesting...the color deepens each day. It's a hard color to describe, though i call it rust but that's not really accurate.
The colors in the pics are accurate...how would you describe it?

Peach maybe? Or sunset? They are both nice
I can't wait for my Ascda to finally open, the spike is getting fat and growing by the hour.

How about 'mango'? Nice plants!
BTW, what are the little white sacks tied to the hangers?

Hi Elena,
I think it's too dark for peach but the "sunset' is an apt description Thanks...and let us see pics of yours when it blooms!
Hi Joanna,
"Mango" works too!
The sacks are holders for Nutricote, a long-term fertilizer. Everybody uses something different when making them, I usually use cheesecloth.

Mango seems like an appropriate description too. And I wondered about the little sachets but forgot to ask.
I will certainly post the pictures of mine. It arrived with the spike barely visible and I'm ecstactic that it didn't abort. I'm growing it on the SW windowsill so curious to see how the blooms will turn out.
