Wonderlen, it seems to me that Holcoglossums prefer cooler conditions during winter, yes, but they do grow warm during the summers. I think Holc flavescens/rupestre, quasipinifolium are the ones that really prefer a cold winter. Still, I give my Holc kimballianum, subulifolium, flavescens, wangii & quasipinifoium plants a cool/cold + dry + very bright winter. I did grow another Holc wangii with the vandas in winter - intermediate/cool (nights) to warm during mid-afternoon + very bright winter with more watering and it flowered for me repeatedly - but I lost that one 2 years ago. Try giving yours more light?
Marc, it gets vanda-type light. Cold & next to the glass, southern exposure, during winter. Outdoors with am and pm sun, dappled shade during mid-afternoon, during spring-fall.
