difference between V. Sansai and V. Pak chong. culture etc?

Bought some plants from Smileys via email.
she was great. the best. She sent me some photos of plants for sale and price range. I picked one and then I was indecided. She asked what my budget was and she sent me an email with suggestions.

I received the package promptly with great plants. one flowering. Since it was a bit prix fixe it was cheaper than à la carte.

and she included a few complimentary free keikis and divisions. maybe it was because we are both immigrants and so on. But she was great and the plants were great.

I have a larger Vanda Pak Chong and a smaller V. Sansai.

they look very similar in the photos i saw online and they both share V. cerulea. I am wondering if culture requirements and habits / blooming are very similar.

I also have a Vanda tricolor, Mokara Chao Pray and
a Ascocenda Yip sum x Ascocentrum sagarik that has really long roots.
any advice?
I hang them on my shouth window and have some additional CFL light.

spray / mist morning eve.
and dip in bucket or shower a couple of times a week

I read somewhere that the V Sansai is easier to bloom than the V. Pak Chong... but I wonder how of a reliable statement is...
it is hard to tell the difference from photos I see on the web....

Both are the same. Sansai blue has more coerulea blood in it so it's more easier to bloom and tolerate cooler temperature. It's flower color tend to be toward sky blue to true blue and flower are a little open and some clones has the typical coerulea twisting petals.

Pak Chong has more sanderianum shape, round and flat and most clone I had seen so far are more violet-blue color. Both are lovely and collection worthy.

V. tricolor can be grown under intermediate condition, and need higher light. Mokara going to need the highest light and heat because of the arachnis parent which are true tripical vanda type orchids, so put it toward closest to the window and CFL light. But it's also depends on how much Ascocenda blood in there compare to arachnis blood.

For extra humidity, you can put spanish moss inside the pot/basket. It retain moist for a few hours after watering, but not soaking wet like N.Z.Spr moss to cause rotting.

live spanish moss? that would be great. can the one packed like mosser lee spring back to life? is spanish moss good as a mixed medium for other orchids?

keeping the tricolor 4 inches from the window.

the Mokara with a spike was $ 8.12 from royal orchid club / ebay.

Both V. Pachara Delight and Vascostylis (correct name btw) should be easy to bloom. Vascostylis has Rhy. coelestics blood in there so it can tolerate cooler condition. Just treat it as the other ones.
