Thanks!!! I know, i grew up in El Monte/Rosemead, went to Rosemead High School . If you are ever in the alhambra area you are more than welcome to stop by and see my orchid collection. I have half outside and half inside that i grow at a south facing window. Both groups seem to love their positions. Have been growing them for 2 years.

Just recently well almost 2 years ago go the orchid bug lol and was now looking to join some local clubs/societies...any suggestions?

I sent you a pm, but I remembered that Google is my friend!

OSSC: Orchid Society of Southern California

I've been to this one before. They've got some nice stuff in some of their auctions.

I might as well join the topic.
I have one vanda, kept outside all year. It's currently in spike. Strangely it's an unidentified pink/magenta that can tolerate the cold. I should have a Pachara Delight coming tomorrow. ~El Monte

Late to the party.
Those are amazing "blue" vandas!
I love Tokyo Blue. The second one has such flower power. and that last one, very dark!

I wonder how much better they might be doing now.

The Pachara Delight arrived earlier today. Pretty compact plant. Bareroot, blooming size.
