I did it about ten days back.

i never heard about the coconut milk, but i read that young coconut water is contains growth stimulant...

Make sure you are keeping the humidity high and still watering the little nub root and rest of the base daily. I put a little spaghnum moss in the basket around mine that was rootless and this helped encourage root growth, along with a good superthrive soak.

Yes I went through your post JennS. I found it very interesting.
I landed up in this situation as I watered twice a day the young Vandas that I had purchased.
They developed root rot and I had to sacrifice some roots.
It is raining and I am in India. The humidity is high.
But I have been contemplating about using spagum miss like you.
Your technique is amazing.

Would coconut water or coconut milk in a can work?
can get them easily for a dollar. now that is not summer it is harder to find fresh coconut
