A common vanda in lowland Java island. Also found in Flores and Komodo island although the variant from these islands have maroon color petals/sepals with pink labellum. Even in Java island alone, there is a wide variance in petal/sepal color, labellum, and flower size.
Please enjoy this Java variant. Flower is about 2" wide.

And a different color form from a different plant which flower just withered:
@david: yes it is fragrant although fainter than tricolor/suavis.
@phillipe: I hang this one under a tree facing East. Usually receive full morning sun until 10 AM. A different plant receive full sunlight until 1 AM but grow just fine. I think yes, this species can tolerate direct sunlight just fine. As long as the day temperature does not exceed 35 degress centigrade.
I know for a fact that there's a natural hybrid between this one and V. insignis, but I can't remember the name.
This is a great plant. I like the first variant, with the spotting. The flowers of some of these smaller-growing species look a lot like those of Oncidiums or even encyclias.
