Gorgeous, love the colour. Does the colour darken after a few days ??. I have similar one and noticed some 5 days after opening that the blooms are a really dark mauve.

Lecent, yes it does turn a lot darker with age. Last time it turned a very deep blue. I wonder if it is because the light is not as intense were I hang it.
A couple of years ago, I had my vandas hanging on my deck. After a strong wind storm I had to attempt  to find them back. Most of them were beyond saving, but this little guy decided to live. Needless to say, they don't leave my basement anymore, except when they are in bloom. The blooming plants come up stairs and get hung on a VERY sturdy cast iron coat rack in front of a window. I can't even move the rack. It is over 90 pounds, and has a large heavy base. That is a good job for a husky grandson. isn't it?
I'll try to find a pic of that rack.

Yes, I do grow them under lights. My vanda area is 4' x 9'. I have one 600 W HID light on a light mover and a 4 bulb T5 unit on one end where I have my vandas which require extra light, mostly the ones with JVB in them.

That coat rack is a great way to hang them. Glad it's a sturdy one though!
