Im actually considering getting two! alohaorchid is just so cheap i cant resist the bargain!!!! two plants would cost me 50 plus shipping! the Waianae Lemons and another one same dimensions named Pakchong Blue! but i also just might get two lemons! if i got two lemons could i put them in the same pot??? would it be of detriment to the plants if i repot on arrival??? or should i just leave them separate??

Interesting fact, there is no such orchid registered under the name Vanda Waianae Lemons or Ascocenda either, so exactly what it is ??? who knows. Seems like a made up name for the sale. Nice yellow though.

Cattleya17, I said I would show you a pic of a small plant that flowers easily, doesn't take up much room either. This is Vandachostylis Thailand 'Somsri'. The plant is about 7 inches tall and 14 inches wide and flowering for the 4th or 5th time. Hopefully I'll remember to post a pic when its fully out. It gives you an idea of small flowering size.

Sorry guys Im on my friends computer! mine is a heap of junk and it died again! time to buy new i guess! well i havent been able to post the pics sorry tomorrow im getting mine back i sent it to be fixed. get this guys! the flower looks nothing like the picture! its a deeper yellow and has red spots! and i found a hybrid Asco the looks exactly the same im my orchid book and its name is: Ascda. Crownfox Golden Dawn. not fragrant either but thats ok! flowers are size of a half dollar. I think the Waianae Lemons means a yellow hybrid to them.

You might try to find bare root vandas so that you can pot it the way you want. I have had good luck with them., it just takes patience for them to get to blooming size.

Just so you know, Astm. ampullaceum has the habit of sending out multiple spikes and also because it often rebloom from the same leaf axis. Unfortunately, none of its hybrids carry this trait and because it came from the moonsoon belt, it can tolerate low humidity for extended periods, especially during winter.

Others great Ascda hybrids to try are:
Sukumara Sunset, John Debaisie, Go Chai Lang.
