Asctm. miniatum
This is the blooming season for the miniatums. This particular plant was purchased in a 3-inch pot many years ago from M. Miyamoto Orchids in Waianae. The plant today has 26 inflorescences.

Hi Steve. The plant is growing in an 8-inch wooden basket with no media. On the average, the leaf spans 4 inches from the stem to the tip of the leaf. The inflorescences average 6 inches tall. There are about 20 growths. The larger flowers have a natural spread of 1.8 centimeters horizontally. The color is dark orange, darker than most miniatums that I've seen. The plant received a Certificate of Cultural Merit (CCM) a couple of years ago from the Honolulu Orchid Society judges. At that time, the plant had about 15 inflorescences.
