That plant is so impressively huge! It's looks really really beautiful. How many years did it take to reach such a large size? If we do another calendar contest this year, this photo deserves to win!

Thank you for your complimentary remarks. My records show that I purchased this plant in May 1983 from M. Miyamoto Orchids. It was a single plant growth in a 3-inch clay pot. The plant label indicates that it was a selfing of an Asctm. miniatum. I'm amazed that I still have records of this plant. In my early days, I kept a log of all my purchase. Unfortunately, I don't do that any more. In any case, the plant is 26 years old. I removed several keikis a few years ago to expand my collection. The plant would be bigger if I had not done that.

26 years old! That plant is older than I am! All those years of care certainly paid off.

I'm with Camille on this! That is the most perfect miniatum I've ever seen and I'm not surprised it was awarded. That is stunning. Remember this photo when calendar time rolls around!
