V.'Bancock Brown' (V.brunnea X V. merrilli)

It looks much different than I expected. It is much lighter color. It is a small, cute, little plant.

Marilyn, sorry to be the bearer of bad news but that looks like my Ascda Su-Fun Beauty. Its the wrong color and shaped flower plus plant size for the cross you indicate.

Roy, I believe you are right. It doesn't look at all like what I expected it to look like. I looked up a picture of Su-Fun-Beauty and it sure looks like that pic. I think for the present time I will change the label, with a question mark. I hate it when I buy one plant and it turns out to be something else, but I do have to say I like this one very much.

Thanks for the info, I appreciate it. It does clear up my questions about it.

Marilyn

Note: I just looked over my plants. That one has a tag from the grower 'Bancok Brown' but I also have a plant with a grower tag 'Su-Fun-Beauty' which I bought from the same grower at the same time. It hasn't bloomed yet so now I'm anxious for it to bloom.

I love it too. I understand that the color is different from what expected when you know the 2 parents. But it is very beautiful ! !

Yeah, I would probably agree with Roy on his comments. I can't see any V. merrillii in those flowers--beautiful though they certainly are.

Marilyn, I'm guessing here but is the plant with the label, Su-Fun Beauty, a much larger growing plant with a lot more space between the leaves ??
BTW, correct spelling on query plant = Bangkok Brown
Looks like the nursery is a little amiss in more ways than one.
