Please share your pictures of your Renantheras/Aranthera/Arachnis.......

Thus far, I have 1 species and 3 hybrids. They are all growing. I know the monachica's root system is too extensive to pot, and that it doesn't grow that tall. However, my aranthera anne black, renanthera Bartholomew Motes and Renanthera Miami Beach AM/AOS 'Mauricette Brin' are growing. They are 33 inches; 22 inches; and 18 1/2 inches respectively; and I want to pot them up permanently before they get too large or unwieldy.

The Aranthera Anne Black is in an ugly plastic pot with lava rock and the other two are in a vanda basket.

So, if you own a renanthera, could you share pics of how you have it displayed? is it potted or mounted, or is it in a vanda basket? How tall do they grow?

I"m leaning towards potting them, but I'm not sure if this is feasible as I've heard they grow relatively tall. Thanks in advance.

I don't own a Renanthera, neither do I have pics, but...

I've seen a Renanthera storei from Santa Barbara Orchid Estate growing on one end of their intermediate greenhouse. This guy was tall! It must've been at least 10 ft to 12 ft tall.

Hi Peewee,
I've got a few of these guys, including two that you've mentioned. I grow them along with my vandas in wooden baskets, except for the Ren. citrina, which was in spike and growing in stay-lite rock when I bought it in March. I'm planning on putting it in a vanda basket when it is finished blooming.

I'll post pics later in the week...possibly tomorrow.

As mentioned earlier, here are my pics. Sorry about the delay...I was working all day yesterday.

7. Pararenanthera (Pps. labukensis x Ren. philippinensis) - hanging in a 6" plastic basket

If anyone thinks/knows that the ren. monachica is mis-labeled, please let me know...I've often wondered if it is...
