This Haraella retrocalla kept trying to bloom since October. Finally it got cool enough so the buds didn't blast. It had a total of 3 that made it.
I bought the plant from Andy's at the Central Florida Orchid Society show last April that was held at Disney World.

Yep! They definetely are tough orchids. I have 5 of them between 3 mounts. Once they get established it's just one bloom after another!

This is a very popular little guy here on Orchidboard...
a number of us have them. They are so cute, and once they start blooming it seems like they just can't stop!

Way to go Terri, mine keeps blooming one after another, hopefully one day it will bloom two or more at a time. Mine did blast due to lack of water, after a 4 day get-away, but they are very forgiving. Nice growing

That is a nice one Terry. Congrats. Do you have a fragrance on yours? I have 4 myself. One blasted cause I let it dry out too much. Its coming back though. My first is still blooming. But the only way I got it to grow was by cutting the spike.
How cool do you keep this orchid. I wasn't aware that it was a cool grower.

I think it has a little fragrance. Right now my Aerides houlletiana is overpowering the back porch with it's spicy floral, so I can't tell. My porch is on the west side of my unit, so it can get real toasty and back in Oct it was still really warm. I watered everyday, but it could have been that the heat was drying it out too fast.
