Aerides lawrenciae - misidendified? - Orchid Board

Hi everyone. I purchased this plant in February at the Venice Orchid Show. It is labeled as an Aerides lawrenciae. After looking this guy up on orchidspecies.com, I am convinced I do not have the lawrenciae afterall. To me, it looks more like the Aerides quinquevulnera. Can anyone help me ID it?

Can't help you but I love the freckles and the purple "caps". LOL

I think this could be Aer. quinquevulnerum.

Thanks for looking guys. I am pretty convinced, at least based on size alone that it cannot be the lawrenciae. The flowers are less than 1" and the lawrenciae is supposed to be 1 and 3/4".

Any other experts out there?

looks like quinquevulnera to me as well

Thanks everyone. I decided to call the nursery, and they confirmed that they had mislabeled them. They agreed that it is quinquevulnera! Yay, I love having the correct name!
