How can I help to this Vanda's baby?
How to save it? It has only one root

What will be better -
orchid mix?
Sphagnum moss?
Maybe some hormones?
Kieki grow, i think, will not help, and what about this - take root

Hi Salza, Welcome to the OrchidBoard!! My only suggestion is using something like KLN or SuperThrive for your keiki. Both products will help your baby to grow some roots. At this point I think the only thing you can do is pot it up and use one of those products. I'm sure you will get some good advice here! If you decide to pot it up don't move it around too much. I prefer fir bark with some charcoal mixed in. But some people really like sphag moss, it depends on your watering habits and your growing conditions. I would say if you have really dry conditions to go with the moss and use a skewer to test if watering is necessary. I tend to over water with sphag and kill whatever is in it. I highly recommend using clear pots, so you can see what is going on inside, without having to un-pot. This is just my opinion, I'm sure someone with way more experience will chime in soon. I would put the plant in a basket with some Spanish moss around the base of the plant and water it twice a day to keep the humidity up.

Keep it around 20deg. C and make sure there is plenty of air movement and humidity around the plant then just give it sun and a little fertilizer
I have had my baby Vands in coconut husk fiber and they have been loving it.
What kind of Vanda do you have?

That setup you have it in now looks like it may be prone to the development of mold you may want to do something to get more air circulation around the plant.

Vanda's don't like their roots to be smothered in moss like that. They like a lot more air going to their roots. If the root is left in that mass of moss, it could rot out. If you can, it'd probably be better off mounted onto a piece of wood with just enough moss underneath the root and tie it with fishing line. This is by far the best method to grow Vandas in my opinion.

Another way to go would be the wood slat basket with a bit of moss. Even shallow plastic baskets with some moss can work.

Vanda hybrids like it on the warm side. A temperature of about 60 degrees F to 90 degrees F is fine (sorry, I don't remember how to convert to Celsius). Bright light or partial sun is fine. Prime growing season for Vanda starts in spring.

I live in the South but have had great success with just a wooden or plastic basket and a little charcoal. I would anchor it securely so it doesn't move about so much and give plenty of light and water. They love the heat, water and air movement. They are also pretty heavy feeders because of no potting medium. It think it will do just fine. Good luck.

The moss shouldn't be a problem if air circulation is sufficient. I keep my baby Vandas wet at all times I just have to keep the air moving. When Vandas are small they don't mind it as much mine went from 1 or 2 small roots to a whole bunch of roots in about 6 months with added plant growth regulators just sun, coco fiber, water, and high nitrogen urea free fertilizer.
