Arachnis, Renanthera, Ananthera Sources in the U.S.
What is a good source (In the U.S) for these plants? I've been looking but haven't found any. Are they hard to find?
Also, what potting medium if you want to grow these in pots as opposed to putting them in baskets? I'd like to grow them here in Miami outside in my porch. Thank you to the chat members who suggested something that won't die out there in the full sun. 
I'm specifically looking for:
Renanthera imschootiana
Renanthera Nancy Chandler
Renanthera phillipinensis
Renanthera bella
Aranthera Anne Black
Arachnis flos aeris.

I've seen some at shows, mainly Ren. phillipinensis, but not much online. You probably can find some at the Redlands show in May.
Ren imshootiana is really rare, both here in the US and in its native country. I have some Ren. citrina seedlings that I deflasked last year, that was about the only Renanthera plant I found.
I don't know about the others.

Do a search on Arachnis and Renanthera - there are plenty of past threads in the archives about them ...

Thy is a wealth of information. Thank you so much for the links...I had found most of them but to no avail. I actually called the Santa Barbara Orchid Estate, and while they do have the imshootiana,they do not sell them because they are of too poor a quality. I found the Anne Black at Soroa today, but she didn't have any other ones. I also found the Nancy Chandler from a Hawaii vendor--that's next on my list.
For the link with the flasks--I've seen that vendor before.but their site is confusing. Do we now as the consumer have to get the phytosanitary certificate, or do they? hmmmmmmmm....
If I find that imshootiana, I will let you all wonderful people know. The pics that I've seen of it are gorgeous and well, peewee likes to find pretty things. |

i can help. you can find some citrinas an dsome monachicas at rf, i know they have smone new ones haha . ihave coming next weekend some nancy chandlers some big ones, also some anne blacks. now the rest your onyour own :-D
