The spike I posted earlier finally opened! This was sold to me as A. miniatum, which I understand is a common error. After waiting patiently nearly two years for it to bloom, it finally presented itself... as A. garayi. I believe the shape of the lip (straight, rather than recurved) is an identifying trait.
Ultimately, who cares - it's such a great little 'chid and just as enjoyable no matter what it is.
