The color pattern on these flowers is amazing. The entire plant is gorgeous. Outstanding, David!

I also have a sanderiana in bloom this month, but I cut it off for my daughter.
Here is the pic last week I took, and let's pray for it.

Impressive, Dave, I see you made the thread we talked about. My alba is still a couple weeks from full bloom, but I'll post the pics when it's ready....though, my one spike won't hold a candle to that beauty! Four spikes for the first bloom?! What'd you do, put in in the dark for a bloom season, so it would build up for next season? Very nice!

Thanks jasen,
I look forward to your post.
The trick I used on mine...if you want to call or believe that that's what it was...was after it failed to bloom last year, I threatened it with removal from my collection (I was going to give it up to my local orchid society for their monthly raffle table) but I decided at the last minute to hold onto it for one more season...and then it decided to stop withholding. Coincidence or the threat…I’ll let you decide.

Aaaaha! So it did miss a season, that explains a lot. Looks like it performs better under pressure! Maybe I'll keep mine from bloomin' this year, and make some idle threats over the summer!

I'm not sure I'd call it missing a season, as it has not bloomed before at all until now...my threat came from watching this big plant just hang around and grow without it putting on any blooms for me, and I felt that it was way big enough to be blooming.
