V. Erika Cizek Dann...my first AM!

Hey...I am so excited!

I went to the AOS annual Orchid Show yesterday...as some of you may already know...to meet some fellow OBers and to have one of my Vandas judged at the West Palm Beach Judging Center (held at the AOS headquarters on the 4th Saturday of each month).

The chid I was bringing in was my avatar chid...V. Erika Cizek Dann 'David's Black Pearl' AM/AOS. Yes, the AM/AOS bit you see at the end there is new!!!! It is the first AM I have ever been awarded for one of my plants...and I think if I don't stop smiling people are going to think I'm on drugs or something... They were looking at me kind of funny in the grocery store this morning.

Anyway, here are a few photos of the nomination ribbon, the written award and, of course, the plant and a close up of the same flower that will be appearing in the next update of AQ Plus. Ya-hooo....
