Talking Semi-Terete Ascda vs. Strap Leaf

In an earlier thread (11/14/08) I posed the question of the difference between a terete and strap leaf vanda. In between I discovered that my newly acquired Ascda. Nora Tokunaga 'Lemon Pie' was a "Semi-terete". Swamper wanted to see what it was like so here it is. Note: the leaves on a terete is pencil like being almost round where as a Semi-terete is opened a little unlike a pencil (round) or a strap leaf which is opened rather flat.

As you can see it has a spike beginning to form and I will post pic. when it blooms.

YUP semi-terete alright. That by the way look super healthy. Keep up posted on its progress. If you were to be thought of as addicted you'd photograph it everyday and show its progress.

Thanks Swamper & Susanne. Every day?? I don't think you would see much progress "every day", however I will post as we go along. This babe is about 4' tall and suppose to be pale yellow & fragrant. I have a dark yellow w/freckles but not like this one. Can't wait!
