Default Angraecum didierii

Bought from Orchid Limited Summer 2008, it has bloomed twice after I bought it. Such a floriferous little thing.
First flowering

Second flowering

...And the long spur...

What a beauty! I love Angraecum's! It looks like it is happy in it's little pot!

yes, please share how you care for this little guy! I was interested in getting one, but have been afraid I could not provide enough humidity for it to bloom!
thanks

Wow, very very nice. Congrats on the blooms. I have one myself but blooms have eluded me for 2 1/2 years.

Thank you for all of your nice comments! I've had this plant for less than 6 months, therefore, I can't conclude that my condition will suit them perfectly. It flowered from the existing "eyes" from the main stem. It has grown a new leaf for me since and put out many roots. It's in a pot filled with 100% charcoal with an additional layer of moss on top to keep the moisture. The humidity sometimes goes pretty low (around 30%) However, it is in my bathroom so it has a boost of humidity several time a day (for about an hour or so right after a shower and keeping the door closed). I water it heavily every week and spray the medium once a day, and the roots as much as I remember (~ 3 times a day). The roots outside the pot are actively growing so I know that it works. It is sitting next to a translucent South Eastern window with regard to lighting so I guess they need high light.
I will keep you update about the plants. Thanks for the nice comments, again.

I hesitated responding since I had a thread earlier, but these can bloom regularly over a long period http://www.orchidboard.com/community...lossoming.html

Yes Ross, aren't they amazing, and yeah, my bathroom smell better than ever since I have the plant (lol). It's a little too strong if you smell right up in the flower though. I think the scent is strongest between 6 to 8pm. Jerry from Orchid Limited encourage me to try them because they can thrive in lower humidity too. I guess what makes them bloom is the high humidity they receive in the summer.

thanks Vinh for sharing your 'secret'
I had read Ross's thread about his success and wasn't sure if I could make a go of it.
keeping it the bathroom is a good idea! my bathroom is an obstructed and diffused (frosted glass) south exposure and don't know if that would fry the plant or not lol.
also the daytime humidity here is moderate to low (mid
30s to low 20) i have recently noticed that the nite time humidity is very high! near 100%

well maybe I'll have a go at it ...

thanks again for sharing!
