Sorry about so many questions, I have a few vandas, and they are really on my mind this winter season. In Houston today, we have a daytime high of about mid 40s, and tonight will be around 31, we have also had a lot of rain for 2 days, it is cold here......

Sarahrm...I have had this plant for about 3 years now...it was a large keiki off of a mother plant that was really amazing!
A local nursery cut theirs up and I happened to get a piece of it. I do not know how old their plant was.
My shade house has roll down walls made of awning material that snap in place. When the temps drop, the walls come down and I place two small electric heaters in the shade house. These keep the temps between 54 and 60 even on out coldest nights. For the ones hanging out near the pool, we just bring the whole rack into the patio area and close our hurricane shutters. That area is enclosed by the house walls on two sides, and again does not drop below the mid 50's when the shutters are closed.
I hope you are able to keep your guys warm with those cold temps you are having.
